- Iroquois ( Canada) sank in the Strait of Georgia off British Columbia. The ship's cargo, having been poorly stowed, shifted when the vessel encountered a squall.[4] Twenty-one people died as a result of the accident and the captain was convicted of manslaughter.

- Minister Delbeke ( Belgium) collided with Gadeby at New York, United States. Continued in service.[7]

- Solo ( Netherlands): Driven ashore at Terheiden during a storm. Refloated 17 March 1912, repaired and returned to service.[7]

- Sailing ship Hansy ( Norway) was wrecked at Penolver on the eastern side of the Lizard, Cornwall; 3 men were saved by lifeboat and the rest were taken off by rocket apparatus.[8]

- Van Dyck ( Belgium) stranded on Wolf Rock. All but three crew killed when lifeboat capsized. Refloated herself and adrift. Taken in tow by a trawler, arrived at Penzance on 8 December. Returned to service.[10]
13 December
- Barque Saluto ( Norway), of Christiansand, wrecked at Cudden Point in Mount's Bay.[11] The ship was a total loss but the Newlyn lifeboat saved the crew of 13 men. The ship was bound for the West Indies.[12]
